Using Hui as a medium, we invite people from all over the world to donate goods to Tibet.

Our province recommends the Hainan Huanghua Pear Agarwood Museum project.

On November 29th, 2024, the sub forum of the International Conference on Agarwood and Pear - Seminar on the Integration of Emerging Collections and Innovative Development was held in Haikou. Taking advantage of the gathering of numerous experts and collectors, our province has unveiled a brand new "cultural calling card": the Hainan Huanghua Pear Agarwood Museum project.

The Hainan Huanghua Pear and Agarwood Museum is a key cultural construction project in Hainan Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period. It aims to provide a centralized platform for the exhibition, protection, and research of precious cultural heritage such as Huanghua pear and agarwood, while comprehensively promoting the coordinated development of the Huanghua pear and agarwood planting, processing, collection, research, education, tourism, medicine, exhibition, trading, technology and other industrial chains.

At the seminar, a project rendering of the Hainan Huanghua Pear Agarwood Museum amazed everyone present: the museum is shaped like a single wooden object, and the carefully carved landscape patterns on the exterior not only echo the landscape of Hainan, but also originate from the highly representative landscape patterns in Hainan pear wood.

In ancient times, the people of the Li ethnic group in Hainan had a unique skill of carving single pieces of rosewood into practical and elegant utensils, known as single wooden tools, "said Zhu Lei, deputy director of the Hainan Provincial Museum. They hoped that the museum's design could capture and present the profound beauty of single wooden tools, while allowing this huge" single wooden building "to emit the natural charm unique to rosewood logs.

The exterior design is unique, and the exhibition inside the museum is also rich in connotation. It is reported that the museum has set up exhibition areas including basic exhibition halls, temporary exhibition halls, digital exhibition halls, etc. Among them, the basic exhibition hall is used for displaying various Huanghua pear and agarwood collections, the temporary exhibition hall is mainly used for supplementing the basic exhibition and various exchange, cooperation, and special exhibition activities, and the digital exhibition hall adopts multimedia technology to provide centralized display.

Based on the theme of museum construction and exhibition outline requirements, we have organized a team to conduct a series of research in multiple cities and counties in Hainan Province and multiple provinces and cities in China, including collecting collection clues, conducting on-site inspections of collections, and conducting relevant market surveys. We have also announced the start of accepting social donations. Zhu Lei introduced that a total of 21 donated collections have been received so far.

This Agarwood Pear International Conference has a great industry influence, wide coverage, and strong radiation ability. Using the conference as a medium, our province promoted the Huanghua Pear Agarwood Museum project in Hainan Province on site and once again invited people from all over the world to contribute to the collection. Collecting collections includes natural specimens, furniture, production and daily life, ancient calligraphy and painting, ancient literature, arts and crafts, and others. Zhu Lei hopes that domestic and foreign collectors and social organizations attending the exhibition can actively participate in the collection of project collections, injecting new vitality into the cultural prosperity and economic development of Hainan.

It is reported that the Huanghua Pear Agarwood Museum project in Hainan Province is located about 70 meters southwest of the intersection of Changying West Road and Yehai Avenue in Xiuying District, Haikou City. The total construction area exceeds 13000 square meters and the total investment is about 190 million yuan. It is planned to be put into use by the end of 2025. At present, the project is being constructed in an orderly manner.
