Wenru Town, Chengmai, Hainan: agarwood skills training builds employment bridge, more than 60 students achieve 'training equals employment'

Recently, the graduation ceremony of the "Xiangyu Wenru Co Prosperity Future" 2025 Chenmai County Wenru Town agarwood skills training was held at the Dabian Village Committee. The two month special training, through the full chain service mode of "theory+practice+employment docking", enabled more than 60 out of 68 trainees to successfully achieve employment intentions, with an employment rate of over 90%, empowering rural industries with skills and achieving good results of "training equals employment, employment equals income".

This training is hosted by the Wenru Town Government and co organized by the Chengmai County Agarwood Association. It focuses on the development needs of the local agarwood industry and is aimed at agarwood growers, returning entrepreneurial youth, and poverty-stricken households in 13 administrative villages throughout the town. The training curriculum emphasizes practicality and pertinence, covering 3 theoretical lectures, 25 practical guidance sessions, and 3 technical exchange symposiums. The average practical training time for students exceeds 40 hours, and they have systematically mastered core technologies such as agarwood and incense, achieving the training goal of "theoretical understanding, technical proficiency, and application". Many students have provided feedback that by mastering the professional skills of "shallow hooking and slow peeling, precise depth control", the yield of agarwood has increased by nearly 20% compared to before.
